Community Care has contracted with Pat Deegan, Ph.D. & Associates, in partnership with Advocates for Human Potential, Inc. (AHP), to provide consultation and training for a Recovery Institute. The Institute is an effort to implement recovery-oriented services at all levels of the behavioral health service system, in the 34 Pennsylvania counties in which Community Care manages the HealthChoices program. Based in Pittsburgh, Community Care is the largest nonprofit managed care organization in the country. Its mission includes support of members’ recovery through its Medicaid-funded behavioral health care services.
